Controversial Essay Topics for Thesis and Research Paper Submission

Controversial Essay Topics for Thesis and Research Paper SubmissionThough topics can be changed to suit the class needs, many professors require that their students have an idea of controversial essay topics. Though some topics are more controversial than others, many topics are accepted by most students as being controversial, but a very few controversial essay topics remain.I will list some topics that were or are being considered for this semester. Though the focus of the class is on writing in its more general sense, the topics of the semester should be chosen with your professor's approval. Since these topics do require a discussion period and should not all be completed in the first reading period, make sure to ask your professor if you have to complete them in advance. The topic for this semester is 'Native English Writing' (with the most recent method of Native English usage). This is a topic that many professors ask for because it has been around for many years and is used by many readers. The discussion for this semester is to examine the differences between a student writing in English and a student writing in another language. Several topics to consider are: the fact that English is a dead language to some, the rise of simplified American English, and how a student can use this knowledge to write effectively. The idea is to show how a variety of methods can be used to produce good writing that can be used in a variety of situations. The topics for this semester will cover: racism, the media, immigration, different social problems, religious tolerance, the e-zine, and a wide range of subjects. The discussion will touch on how to gain more information about these topics, how to address controversial topics, and how to avoid a polarized debate when writing about these topics. Students will be asked to study documents, television, books, and movies and write their opinions.I will mention that the topic for this semester is 'The President Obama's Awarding of Nobel Peace Prize'. It is a very popular topic among many students. This award was given to Barack Obama because he is the first black president of the United States. I think it is a good topic because students will learn about politics, ethics, and principles while discussing a controversial issue. The topics for this semester include: gender and how we consider it, the religion, the schools, and diversity. These are very controversial topics. The topic of diversity is interesting because it covers how a person should identify themselves. Some students think they should consider their race and some think they should be 'American'European'.The topics for this semester will likely also include: immigration, homosexuality, and subjectivity. These topics are very similar in structure to some of the other topics, but the subjects are not as controversial as some of the others.Another important note is that the class does not need to be done in a single sitting. Students can take the f irst reading period and then use the rest of the time to read and discuss their own assigned topic(s). The professor will get feedback from all of the readings and the discussion and will make a determination as to which topic(s) is required. Make sure that you have a good instructor to help you with your topic(s).
